IndigenousNYFW

2025 - Present

Indigenous New York Fashion Week (INYFW) is a multi-day event dedicated to Indigenous designers and creatives working across fashion, art, and music. The first Indigenous New York Fashion Week took place September 11–15, 2025 in New York City’s East Village. The event brought together over 30 Indigenous designers and 50 Indigenous models, alongside musicians, artists, and performers. Over five days, runway shows, concerts, and gatherings highlighted the range of Indigenous design while creating a space led by Indigenous creatives.

The next edition of INYFW will take place September 10–13, 2026. The multi-day program will continue to present runway collections from Indigenous designers along with performances and programming that bring together fashion, art, and community.

INYFW is dedicated to the advancement of Indigenous artists in New York City. Through fashion presentations, public programming, and collaborations across disciplines, the organization works to expand visibility and opportunities for Indigenous designers while building a growing network of artists, models, and cultural workers.

2025

This project is an ongoing creative collaboration between Relative Arts NYC and Split Ends Media. Our first collaboration was SEEDS, an augmented reality installation for NYFW in February 2024 featuring the Emme Studio garments and El Techichi Jewelry. To bring the designs to life, we partnered with Scatter using Depthkit and the Orbbec Femto Bolt and created an AR experience hosted at Piragua Space using 8th-Wall. In 2025, we partnered with NYCAP3D to document 3D renderings that we showed in NYC Jewelry Week’s opening night: Ndaki-ña at the Hannah Traore Gallery.
